Cape Borda lighthouse was built in 1858 and its strange block construction can be seen for kilometres. The lighthouse is a beacon to shipping as they approach the treacherous northern and western coast of Kangaroo Island. This accommodation forms part of the remote and once very isolated settlement of Cape Borda. Gain insight into the lighthouse keepers history, through documented journals and experience the thrill of the cannon which is fired on a daily basis, around midday.
